I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
